ITHACA, N.Y. -- Senior Alex Bates of the Ithaca College men's crew has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) National Invitational Regatta all-conference team. Bates coxed Ithaca's varsity 8 to the grand final at the ECAC Championships -- the boat's second appearance in that race in 20 years. A week earlier, the Bombers captured a gold medal at the New York State Championships. She served as the varsity 8's coxswain for the past two years.
