Lauren Schoenberger completed her second year as an assistant coach on the women’s lacrosse staff in 2014. Schoenberger, who served as a graduate assistant coach with the Bombers during 2013, has been named to the Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year for two consecutive seasons.
Schoenberger has helped the Bombers to a record of 24-12 over the past two seasons, highlighted by a flawless 14-0 record in Empire 8 play. In 2014, Ithaca advanced to the E8 title game for the fifth time in as many years and ninth time since 2003.
Additionally, she coached the Lady Roc Lacrosse Club from 2009-12 and worked for the Penfield Recreation Department in various capacities from 2006-12.
A Division I standout at American University, Schoenberger graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a philosophy minor from American’s Honors College in 2012. Playing attack for the Eagles, she served as an assistant captain and was twice named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and recorded Academic All-Patriot League praise. Schoenberger was a member of the American Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was the student-athlete representative on the American University Alcohol and Other Drug Task Force Committee.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Exercise Science-Sport Psychology from Ithaca.
